Hello! My name
is Dr. Pam
Evans, and I am
so excited to be
joining the
fabulous dental
team at Dr.
Wakefield’s
office. From the
moment I met
these caring and
exceptionally
qualified women,
I knew I’d found
a great place to
call my dental
home.
I was born in
Minneapolis, and
went to
Elementary and
Junior High
school here.
Then, I had the
wonderful
opportunity to
go to High
School in the
small town of
Hutchinson,
Minnesota. The
change from
large city
schools to the
smaller class
size of the high
school in Hutch
gave me choices
I hadn’t had
before. I had
great fun
participating in
many of the
school
activities,
including
theater, choir,
sports and
student
government.
My small town
experience was
short-lived, as
I came back to
the Twin Cities
to attend the
University of
Minnesota
schools of
Medical
Technology and
then Dentistry,
graduating in
1984.
After
graduation, I
stayed in
Minneapolis and
worked with my
sister, who is
also a dentist.
During that
time, I also had
the opportunity
to provide
volunteer work
to some great
organizations,
including
Harriet Tubman
Women’s Shelter,
North Children’s
Dental Services
and The Bethany
Covent.
In 1992 the
“small town bug”
bit me again! I
traveled north,
and became a
Public Health
Service dentist
working with the
Federal
Government on
the Cass Lake
and Red Lake
Indian
Reservations. I
lived in Bemidji
Minnesota for 10
years, dividing
my time between
the reservations
and a private
practice in the
town of Bemidji.
The north woods
are truly a
beautiful
treasure of our
state. My son,
Elliot, was born
in Bemidji in
1995.
Dentistry has
certainly
provided me with
unique and
interesting
experiences, but
after becoming a
Mom, I realized
that being close
to family was
the most
important
decision I could
make (and also I
actually missed
the city!), so I
made the trek
south, and I am
here to stay!
I am so looking
forward to
meeting all of
you! My goal is
to continue in
the excellent
tradition of
great patient
service that you
receive at
Dakota Dental.
Your comfort and
satisfaction are
of the utmost
importance to
me. Hope to see
you soon! |
