Julie
has been practicing hygiene in Apple Valley for
over two decades. She considers her patients friends and they appreciate her gentle touch. She provides individualized attention and is committed to education to ensure her patients receive the best dentistry has to offer. Let her introduce herself:
Hello, my name is Julie. I am a licensed Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of clinical experience.
When my previous employer of over eighteen years retired I was faced with finding another office where I could feel comfortable yet challenged in my daily work. I believe that I have found that here at Dr. Wakefield’s office. I’m excited to be a part of this great team!
My home is in Lakeville with my husband, two sons, and our dog Kirby. When we aren’t busy with school activities, we enjoy cooking and working outside in our yard. Yes, we’re those crazy people who actually enjoy yard work!
The
people
that
I
see
at
work
each
day
are
more
than
just
mouths
to
me.
I
truly
enjoy
learning
about
my
patients.
Dental
visits
are
much
more
fun
if
we
have
things
to
talk
about.
I’ve
truly
enjoyed
getting
to
know
each
of
you!
Cheri,
dental hygienist, has been keeping smiles healthy for almost twenty years. Her cheerful disposition and generous nature make her a valued friend as well as a cherished co-worker. Let her introduce herself:
I have been with Dakota Dental Clinic for
over a decade. I am so pleased to be in our new beautiful building and I hope to be here for many years to come.
The last few years have brought many changes to our lives. My husband Bert and I have a combined family of 3 sons, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. Our busy lives are filled with our families, grandchildren, hiking, biking, traveling, reading and dancing.
Most of all, we are enjoying our empty nest!!!
After
many years
working
beside me
chair side,
Holly
has moved to our front office.
As she has proven in the past,
she is multi-talented and can
multi-task ! Her passion for our
mission is evident in all she
does for our patients. Let her
introduce herself:
I knew from frequent visits to the orthodontist as a teenager, that I wanted a career in dentistry!
I attended Normandale Community College in Bloomington and ultimately graduated from Minnesota Institute as a Dental Assistant. Being a native of Richfield, I was fortunate to keep one foot planted close to home while going to school.
In the nearly seventeen years I’ve been with Dr. Wakefield, my position has evolved and grown. Clinically, I have performed the expanded function skills for which I am licensed. I have also established our inventory control system, OSHA compliance and training program, radiation safety protocol and sterilization monitoring.
I have recently taken on the full time position
in the
business
office. It has been exciting and enlightening, yet not without a few challenges. Just when I thought I knew it all, I have a chance at a new career.
My schedule is not as hectic as some of my co-workers anymore. My beautiful and dedicated daughter is away at college now. I miss the laughter and commotion that she and her friends and activities brought to our home. Grand Forks is a long drive but easy to get to when I need a “fix”.
My athletic and fun loving son still has 2 more years at Eastview. There really is never a dull moment with him and his buddies. Knowing them all allows me to be involved with the many great families in our area.
When my family does connect in the same location, we still enjoy the outdoors. Golf, walking, and boating give us entertainment and fun. My new passion is the week-end rides on the Harley with the wonderful man in my life.

Let
her
introduce
herself:
My name is Genny. I have been in dentistry since 1983. Originally I am from Bulgaria, a small country in Southeast Europe, near Greece and Turkey. I worked in dental offices in my country and Sweden.
After traveling a lot with my family, we finally decided to settle down in Minnesota. From our first day we fell in love with the nature and the people here.
I have worked with Dr. Wakefield since moving to Minnesota almost a decade ago. I enjoy the friendships I have developed with my co-workers and I enjoy working with all of our patients.
I recently completed the requirements set forth by the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry to gain my licensure as a “Restorative Function” Assistant. There are fewer than 50 Registered Dental Assistants in Minnesota, with this designation. I am now able to restore teeth after the doctor has prepared them. I am excited about my new duties and find it very rewarding to assist Dr. Wakefield on a different level.
My
chair-side
assistant,
Ashley,
is
our
shining
star.
She
is
just

professional
who
is

on
the
go!
Let
her
introduce
herself:
Even when I was young, I knew the dental field is where I wanted to be, and I am very
happy with my choice. After high school I attended Dakota County Technical College and graduated with a Dental Assisting Degree. I have always enjoyed learning, which is important, considering the ever-changing advancements in dental technology. I enjoy my career a great deal and I am very thankful for the great group of women I have found here at Dr. Wakefield’s office.
I was born in Duluth, moved to the cities when I was young and grew up in Cottage Grove. I now live in Apple Valley.
My husband and I are enjoying rearing two precious girls. They keep us very busy as we try to balance dance lessons, school work, and pursue outdoor activities as often as we can. Visiting our families frequently takes us to Duluth.
I
look
forward
to
getting
to
know
each
of
you!
Lucky is the patient
who is fortunate
enough to have Pam
help with their
treatment. Her
gentle touch and
compassionate
personality will put
you at ease from the
first time you meet
her. Let her
introduce herself:
Hello, my name is
Pam. I have been a Registered Dental Assistant for
almost a decade. I received my formal training at the Vocational Technical College in Rosemount. This was a big change from the farm lands of Melrose where I attended high school.
My husband and I, our 2 sons and daughter, make our home in Farmington. Our lives stay busy; running with the kids in sports, Boy Scouts and school activities. We enjoy traveling and visiting family in Boston as much as possible.
I enjoy working with and caring for, people. My choice for a career in Dental Assisting has been the perfect fit. I truly love coming to work each and every day. It has been a great pleasure meeting the many families here at Dr. Wakefield’s office.
